STS 2026

Sarajevo Theatre Showcase 2026 turns Sarajevo into a meeting point for contemporary theatre, new ideas and international collaboration.

Through The Art of Connection, STS 2026 brings together more than 110 guests and almost 100 participants from more than 20 countries, including artists, directors, playwrights, producers, programmers, critics and cultural professionals. Across six interconnected programme strands, the STS combines selected performances with new dramatic writing, projects in development, professional meetings, residencies, industry presentations and conversations around the future of contemporary theatre.

Unfolding across six locations in Sarajevo, STS creates a space where performances, texts, projects and people can meet beyond the stage itself. More than a presentation platform, it is designed to open possibilities for future touring, co-productions, translations, partnerships and lasting professional connections across the regional and European theatre landscape.
