An acting pedagogue runs a small youth theatre group, three teenage girls who’ve trained under him for months, when a teenage boy joins as the only male student. He frames the group as a “family” bound by strict rules. The exercises drift from ordinary drama training into invasive territory: role-reversal games that push the girls into aggressive personas and the boy into femininity through borrowed clothes and altered behaviour, increasingly physical, isolating one-on-one sessions dressed up as artistic exercises. One girl discloses that a private session went further than any exercise should, she isn’t believed. The boy starts hearing the voice of an outside friend pushing him toward confrontation. As the pressure inside the group builds, it drives toward a breaking point that finally forces what’s been hidden into the open. What follows isn’t resolution but reckoning, the group left to face what they allowed, and what they now owe each other.

Biography

Nikola Stanišić is a playwright and theatre critic. He is currently pursuing an MA in Dramaturgy at the Academy of Dramatic Arts. His award-winning plays Tears of Saint Lawrence and Bird Cage were recognized in national competitions. His work explores power, identity, and social tensions.
