A young couple from 2026 suddenly finds themselves trapped in 1910, inside the home
of the man’s great-great-grandparents. Forced to coexist across more than a century, the
two couples confront radically different views on love, marriage, gender roles, freedom,
and what it means to be a man or a woman. As they try to change each other’s beliefs,
they discover that neither the past nor the present is free from violence, inherited
trauma, or inequality. Blending humor, absurdity, tenderness, and painful realism,
Irreversible explores whether deeply rooted patterns of patriarchy can ever truly be
broken—or whether history continues to repeat itself in new forms. The play culminates
in a confrontation with contemporary femicide in North Macedonia, revealing that
despite the passage of time, some wounds remain tragically unresolved.

Biography

Eva Kamchevska graduated from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Skopje, majoring in Dramaturgy and Screenwriting. After completing her Master’s degree in Screenwriting at the same faculty, she continued her education and graduated from Vancouver Film School (VFS) in the Writing for Film and Television program.
