The Critics Residency offers emerging theatre critics a dedicated space to develop their writing, analytical and editorial skills under the guidance of Head of Studies Natasha Tripney. Combining practical workshops, group discussions, peer feedback and engagement with STS performances, the programme encourages participants to examine the role and responsibility of criticism today while producing original written work throughout the Showcase.

Natasha Tripney

Writer, editor and critic based in London and Belgrade. She is the international editor for The Stage, co-founded Exeunt and editor of SEEstage.org. She is a regular contributor to the Guardian and has also written for BBC Culture, The Independent, Vittles, Kosovo 2.0 and the New York Times.
