“I killed Alma” is an interdisciplinary theatre project inspired by the play of Croatian playwright Monika Herceg. Blending verbatim theatre, contemporary dance, feminist performance and audiovisual installation, this performance delves deep into the trauma of femicide through a collective and transgressive rite of passage. Stage action is based on performative cooking as its main narrative tool.

Biography

Aleksandar Jovanović

Aleksandar Jovanović is graduated professor of Philosophy and graduated theatre director. He is currently preparing his master thesis at the Faculty of dramatic arts in Belgrade, mentored by professor Kokan Mladenović. He has professional working experience in the field of theatre for children and dramatic theatre, but also in radio, film and visual arts. On STS 2025, Aleksandar will be Project representative / (project I KILLED ALMA) – Mentor Miroljub Mijatović
