Biography

Gordana Goncić is a dramaturg and Acting Director of Atelje 212 Theatre, where she has worked as Permanent Dramaturg since 1994. She was Acting Director of the Cultural Centre of Belgrade (2017–2019) and Deputy Secretary for Culture in the City of Belgrade (2019–2024). She chaired the October Salon – Belgrade Biennale (2018–2021) and currently chairs the Belgrade Summer Festival (BELEF) Committee.

Although based on very different and diverse ideas and approaches, the submitted projects demonstrate a strong desire and need to engage with the phenomena of the contemporary world, to question topics that are rarely or insufficiently addressed, and to explore new theatrical forms of communicating with the audience. It is a great challenge to work with and get to know young artists, and to find ways for their new projects to be recognized and accepted.
